It was a perfect evening for Anna and Ryan's Lake Anna Engagement Photos!
Anna and Ryan's love story began on the campus of Georgia Tech. While both were attending college there, they met one morning while eating breakfast. After dating for several years, they visited Ryan's family's lake house at Lake Anna to celebrate the 4th of July. One morning during their trip, they enjoyed eating breakfast on the dock, and Ryan asked Anna to marry him. Needless to say, she was very excited and immediately said yes!
Once they shared their exciting news with their family and friends about their engagement, they quickly started wedding planning! Neither of them wanted to wait long before getting married. They ended up having a romantic fall Lake Anna wedding! It was only fitting that they held their wedding at the family lake house since they got engaged there.
We chose to capture their engagement photos at Ryan’s family home on Lake Anna, and their photographer Kim met them there. The lakehouse and grounds acted as the perfect backdrop for their engagement pictures. It was a great opportunity for them to get to know their photographer better and get comfortable in front of the camera.
They were so natural in their photos! I loved how they walked around barefoot. It may seem like a minor detail, but it allowed them to be comfortable in their element. We ventured around the property and grabbed pictures in front of the beautiful lake house, on the dock in front of the water, and in a sandy beach area.
We ended their Lake Anna engagement photos with Ryan and Anna popping a bottle of champagne! This is always such a fun way to end your session, and then you can enjoy a glass when you're done.
